NBA Salaries

The NBA is the elite professional basketball league not only of the United States, but now of the world. Basketball players come from all over the world to play in the NBA, and part of the reason might be that NBA salaries are quite high.

NBA minimum salaries range from $473,604 for players just entering the NBA to $1,352,181 for players who have been in the league for 10 or more years. The NBA maximum salaries range from $13,603,750 (players in the league 0-6 years) to $19,045,250 (for players in the league 10+ years). The maximum NBA salary is $16,024,500 for players in the league 7-9 years.

As you can see from the salaries below, if the NBA lockout would have caused the cancellation of the entire season, some players would have been out millions of dollars. The list below shows where they fall...

Of course, this is just what the salaries of NBA players are. There is so much more in terms of compensation that NBA players get. Of course, the first thing is getting paid to do what they love, and considered one of the best in the world at doing it. Even the "worst" players are elite. 60 players are drafted every year, and not all of them makes the cut. The best of the best and most popular players can also make a ton of money with endorsement deals from Nike, Adidas, McDonald's and more. This is actually part of the reason LeBron chose Miami, he felt it was the best way for him to become a billionaire even though he isn't getting paid the maximum salary.
