The Chicago Bulls were founded in 1966. It wasn't until they drafted Michael Jordan in 1984 that they were put on the map, though. Other than the Jordan years, the Bulls generally struggled as a franchise.
Eventually, though, the Bulls became the reason a lot of people in the world came to know about the NBA or even basketball. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, along with some major role players, brought some more excitement and attention to the game and a lot of history. After Jordan's departure, the Bulls have struggled a great deal. It's starting to look much more promising for the future, though...
Current Situation (2010-2011)
Last Updated: May 2011
The Bulls not only finished the 2010-2011 season with the top record in the East, but the best record in the NBA with 62 wins and 20 losses. Their star, Derrick Rose, was also selected as this year's MVP. As I write this, the Bulls lead the Hawks 2-1 in the second round of the playoffs. You can see up-to-date information on the ESPN.com widget provided on the right.
Throughout the season, they've shown some inconsistency, but most importantly some great promise. Even through the first round of the playoffs they have proven to never give up, coming back from large deficits in the fourth quarter multiple times to win Playoff games, led by the NBA MVP, Derrick Rose.
Even though the Chicago Bulls missed out on Kevin Garnett in the past, and then the LeBron James "lottery" this past summer, they've done well by signing Carlos Boozer as the low post presence they've been missing. Joakim Noah has been improving every year and developing into a great overall player and a monster on the boards. These two coupled with 2008's number one pick, Derrick Rose and the rest of the Bulls' squad like Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, and sharp-shooter Kyle Korver make for a tough matchup for a lot of teams in the NBA now and for years to come.

Team Logo
Chicago's team logo is a red bull head with an angry face and red tips on its white horns. The Bulls have used this logo since it's birth in 1966. Since the team name is the "Bulls," and one of the team colors is red, having a red bull in the logo is pretty self explanatory.
